January Photo A Day

A friend of mine from college posted this little photo challenge on Facebook today, so I thought I would give it a try. It sounds like fun, especially since I am always taking pictures! Enjoy!

Day 1: You: I actually took this picture of SA and I on New Year’s Eve when she and I had a little lunch date at Moe’s! I am thankful for one-on-one time with her–she has such a sweet spirit and is growing up way too fast!

Day 2: Breakfast: This morning the kids and I let Daddy sleep late while we headed to Chick-fil-a for a breakfast date with our friends, Melissa and Caroline. We had a great time eating, playing, and catching up. I am so glad we were able to see each other over the winter break!

Day 3: Something you adore: I don’t think there is anything more precious than a sleeping baby, especially when it’s my wild man! He melts my heart!

Day 4: Letterbox: Or mailbox. A simple little reminder of our home sweet home. My favorite thing to get in the mail is Christmas cards and letters from our Compassion children.

Day 5: Something you wore: Today (and pretty much every day) I am wearing my new Toms that Jeffrey and the kids got me for Christmas! Love them!

Day 6: Makes You Smile: We spent an absolutely gorgeous morning/early afternoon at the zoo today with some friends. The weather was perfect, the kids were great, the animals were all out in the sun…and we just had the best time! I am so thankful to be able to enjoy these sweet moments with my babies!

Day 7: Favorite: My favorite thing to drink is Dr. Pepper in my favorite cup! It’s pretty much how I keep going all day long!

Day 8: Your Sky: There was nothing but perfectly clear blue skies while we played outside this morning after church. We are loving this warm SC weather!

Day 9: Daily Routine: My daily routine consists of many things, but I always start the day reading my Bible and writing in my journal. I pray that the time prepares my heart for the day, so that I can love and serve my family well.

Day 10: Childhood: Yesterday afternoon we decided to take a walk after nap time to get some fresh air. There is just something about a little child and rain puddles–it was impossible for them to not jump!

Day 11: Where you Sleep: Oh, how I love our bed! And one of our new goals is to get in bed earlier–we have been staying up way too late, and we need some more quality time with our pillow top mattress! Happy sleeping!

Day 12: Close Up: Proverbs 3:5-6—So thankful for God’s word—full of truth, grace, mercy, love, and goodness!

Day 13: In Your Bag: I haven’t carried a purse since SA was born, but for Christmas I got a new Thirty-One wristlet wallet that I love! It holds my keys, cards, receipts and phone, which is really all I need. And of course it fits in my diaper bag too!

Day 14: Something You’re Reading: On Fridays, Jeffrey brings me People Magazine from the office to read over the weekend. Ha, he definitely knows the way to my heart!

Day 15: Happiness: I love being together as a family on the weekends, and the babies sure do love having their Daddy home! That’s pure happiness!

Day 16: Morning: Sarah Ann loves to stay in her bed in the mornings and play with all of her stuffed animals. She has such a vivid imagination! I am thankful for lazy mornings at home!

Day 17: Water: I use a lot of water with all of the dishes I wash and laundry that I do throughout the day. But I am so grateful for this task that God has called me too–being a wife, homemaker, and mommy is the greatest “job” in the world!

Day 18: Something You Bought: Wednesday I bought myself a large sweet tea and the babies some french fries before our trip the see the Elephant Walk! Oh Mickey D’s sweet tea, how I love you!

Day 19: Sweet: Oh, this little boy wear me out–He has a mind of his own and a very strong will–But he is also full of so much sweetness and I am so grateful for my sweet mornings with him–it helps me survive the rest of the day!

Day 20: Someone You Love: My sweet husband, of course! I fall in love with him more and more everyday. I am so thankful for his leadership, support, and love!

Day 21: Reflection: I could tell that Sarah Ann was sleepy on the way home from the grocery store, and this is what I saw as I looked into my rearview mirror as we turned into the driveway. She was out!

Day 22: Shoes: My other favorite shoes. I wear them all the time. I am all about flat, comfy shoes!

Day 23: Something Old: Ok, so these aren’t really old, but I’ve definitely had my curling iron and straightener since the beginning of college. And I still use them every morning!

Day 24: Guilty Pleasure: Jeffrey and I love to cuddle up in the bed, watch Netflix, and eat popcorn before bed…it’s definitely my favorite guilty pleasure!

Day 25: Daily Routine: Bath time–the kids could stay in there forever! And there’s nothing sweeter than a clean and cuddly baby right out of the bath!

Day 26: Color: We spent most of this day in the car, so I saw a lot of pink and green while helping the babies in the back seat. But they both travelled amazingly well, and I am so thankful!

Day 27: Lunch: The kids loved having lunch at Pizza Planet–just like from Toy Story! The food was great, and the games were so much fun!

Day 28: Light: The castle is beautiful, especially at night when it is all lit up! We loved watching the fireworks here, and the kids are still talking about the castle!

Day 29: Inside Your Fridge: Our fridge is looking a little bare since we just got back into town–but we are heading to Publix tonight during our date!

Day 30: Nature: The Safari at Animal Kingdom was awesome! They did an incredible job of bring Africa’s nature right to us! We loved the elephants too!

Day 31: Me, again: This little photo challenge was fun for me! Now off to unpacking and cleaning up!
