While she does lots of things like Jeffrey, there are also some things that she has picked up from me–one thing is that she loves to dip whatever she is eating into something, and I am the exact same way. Today we dipped our chicken and macaroni’n'cheese in ketchup (hey, I’m pregnant, and it tastes really good!). I will say that I stayed much cleaner than she did

One thing that has always puzzled me about Jeffrey is how he can read more than one book at a time. He is so knowledgeable and loves to read, and he can read 3, 4, of 5 books at a time and just soaks all the information in. Sarah Ann has apparently caught onto this trait, because she does a great job of getting all of her books out and reading as many as possible at one time. I hope that she always loves to read, just like Daddy!

So, I am pretty much addicted to my IPhone…I admit it! But one of the things I love about my phone is being able to capture Sarah Ann at any moment. Here are a few cute pictures I caught last week…

This past Sunday, Sarah Ann had her first birthday party! We had a wonderful time celebrating our princess’s birthday with lots of friends and family! Sarah Ann loved all of the attention, received way to many amazing gifts, and really enjoyed digging into her birthday cake!

Sarah Ann is one blessed little girl, especially by all the friends and family that love her!

Sarah Ann went for her 12 month well visit yesterday–she is doing wonderfully and is very healthy! Dr. Greenhouse was very pleased with where she is at with all of her developmental milestones–we have such a smart girl!

Here are her 12 month stats:

Weight: 21 pounds, 13 ounces (64%)

Height: 29 1/4 inches (57%)

Head Circumference: 46 cm (77%)

It is hard to believe that it has been one year since Sarah Ann arrived. She was the most beautiful baby I had ever seen, and I just wanted to hold on to her and never let her go. I still remember so much from that day, and I am so grateful for the amazing memories that we have from that day until now. Sarah Ann has brought us so much joy, and even in her one year of life she has taught us so much about love, grace, truth, and happiness!

This has been a very exciting week around our house, and actually the whole month of November is going to be busy and fun! Last night we took Sarah Ann “trunk or treating” at the Hallelujah Hoedown. She got lots of candy and kept wanting to double check her bucket to make sure the candy was still in there! She loved walking around and seeing all of the decorated cars and everyone in their costumes! Before we left, Nanny helped Sarah Ann bounce in the jungle house! 

Before we headed to church, we stopped by the Henson’s so that Sarah Ann could see her two favorite pumpkins!

Last Monday night Jeffrey, Sarah Ann and I went to Boo at the Zoo. Sarah Ann loves to look at the animals…She also liked seeing all of the pumpkins and lights in the trees. Sarah Ann danced to the music and had fun in the bubbles with Daddy!

Earlier today, Sarah Ann enjoyed a delicious Halloween cupcake—partly as a trial run for her birthday party and partly because Mommy was craving cupcakes with lots of icing! 

Tonight Sarah Ann “helped” me make pumpkin cookies to take the cheerleading practice in the morning. She loved looking at the cookies while they were baking in the oven and got to taste test them for me when they got done!

Sarah Ann had a really fun time using markers for the first time today, and she only tried to put them in her mouth one time. She did a great job coloring her pumpkin, and then wanted to carry it around the house for the rest of the night!
