“My father didn’t tell me how to live; he lived, and let me watch him do it.”

Jeffrey and Sarah Ann playing at the football game last weekend!
A couple of years ago, my friend Mandy (who I coach cheerleading with) and I jokingly said that one day we could coach varsity together when she started teaching high school and I was staying home with a baby. Little did we know that 2 years later it would actually work out that way! When we decided that I would be staying at home with Sarah Ann and Jeffrey said that I could coach cheerleading too, I don’t know if we really knew all that it would entail. However, our family has had some incredible blessings come out of this season so far! And I have to say that for me, one of the biggest and best blessings has been the time that Jeffrey and Sarah Ann have been able to spend together.
Sarah Ann loves spending time with Jeffrey. He is so great at being completely attentive to her, hanging on to all her little steps and sounds–cuddling with her, reading to her, dancing with her, and laughing with her. You can already tell how Sarah Ann cherishes this time with Jeffrey–she just smiles and giggles and clings to her Daddy!
I am so grateful that I get to watch their relationship grow, and I so look forward to seeing them continue to cherish all of the special times they have together! I really like the quote that I put at the top of this post, because that is so true of Jeffrey–he is such a godly example of wisdom and love to Sarah Ann, because he lives it day in and day out. Sarah Ann has always been very observant, and I am so glad that she has such a great example in her Daddy to observe and watch as she grows up!
