Picnic on the Porch

September 30, 2009

While we had a wonderful summer, we are very excited to see that Fall has finally made it’s way to Columbia! It has been so nice the past couple of days to be able to go outside in the middle of the day without it being too hot!

Yesterday Sarah Ann and I decided to have our lunch on the front porch. Sarah Ann loves being outside, and it was the perfect day for it! We had lots of fun on our little picnic and hopefully we can have another one again soon!

Can I just say that I love, love, love being at home with this sweet girl everyday?

Sweet Sight :)

September 28, 2009

Sarah Ann currently has tooth #5 coming in. She has been such a trooper through the whole teething process, but she does get a little bit fussy and needs a little extra cuddling. Yesterday Jeffrey went and got her when she woke up from her nap, and as soon as he picked her up she fell right back asleep on his chest…so they both enjoyed a little extra rest on the couch together. It was a very sweet sight to see them cuddling together when I came into the living room!

Making a Mess

September 24, 2009

Sarah Ann has become quite good at getting into things and making a mess very quickly! She is all over the place and would much rather play with everything but her toys!

This week she became very interested in pulling out and reading all of our magazines. She also decided to reminisce wearing all of her summer clothes by going through all of them.

Sarah Ann also made quite the mess while eating dinner earlier this week. One of the new things she likes to do is pat her head and play with her hair…we just need to work on her not doing it while she has food all over her hands.

We love our messy little girl!

Ready to Party :)

September 21, 2009

Sarah Ann spent this past weekend in Atlanta with Nanny, Pops, and Uncle Jeremy! On Saturday evening they went to Cohen’s first birthday party! Sarah Ann was a little overwhelmed at first by all of the new people, but once she got comfortable she had a lot of fun and was all over the place! Sarah Ann enjoyed the pizza and cake (not the icing though). She also decided that she wanted to try and help Cohen open his presents! I guess she is getting ready for her first birthday coming up in just a few weeks! She is definitely ready to party!

We hope that you have a very happy first birthday, Cohen!

Baby #2 Update

September 16, 2009

Today we went to the doctor to see how Baby #2 is doing—the doctor said that everything looks great and I am right on track! Baby #2’s heartbeat was very steady in the 150s, and they found the heartbeat very quickly!

Mommy is still pretty nauseous, much more than I ever was with Sarah Ann, but I am not quite as tired. I am very much looking forward to getting into the 2nd trimester. No weight gain yet, and my blood pressure was great!

I also added a new Lilypie ticker for Baby #2.  :)

We go back to the doctor on October 12th. Thank you all for your prayers and encouragement during this time!

Lollipop :)

September 15, 2009

Over Labor Day weekend, Sarah Ann and I went with Nanny and Pops to Lake Lanier Islands. On the way to the park, I was eating a Lollipop and I decided to give Sarah Ann a little lick–just one lick, right? Wrong! Let’s just say that Sarah Ann ended up with the rest of the lollipop and she was a sticky mess by the time she got done! Here are few pictures of the experience (and she also still has her lunch on her face, sometimes you just have to pick your battles, right?)…

New Shoes :)

September 13, 2009

Since Sarah Ann has been wanting to walk more and more, we decided it was time to get her some new tennis shoes. Yesterday we found some very cute pink Nikes! She wasn’t too sure about them at first, but tonight she did a great job walking around the cul-de-sac with them on! She must have been very proud of herself because she would stop and clap after she walked a little bit! Enjoy the video…

Baby Stroller

Sarah Ann loves to practice walking by pushing her baby stroller all over the place. This afternoon she took her babydoll on a walk around the cul-de-sac in our neighborhood. She does a great job walking with the stroller and she loves to take care of her babydoll. She is going to be a wonderful big sister!

Happy Labor Day!

September 7, 2009

We had a very fun Labor Day today…Sarah Ann and I were very excited about spending time with Daddy since she and I were in Atlanta for the weekend. We love when we get to spend the day with Jeffrey!

We started the day off at the park. Sarah Ann had fun swinging, sliding, and looking at the fish! Here is a little video of Sarah Ann swinging…

After playing, we all went to Chick-fil-a in our Northwestern t-shirts to get our free chicken sandwiches. Jeffrey got us all new Northwestern t-shirts when he went to take his test earlier this summer, so we decided we would support them today! Chick-fil-a was packed, but we had a very yummy lunch! After lunch we took a trip to our favorite place–Target! We got some safety latches, because Sarah Ann has discovered how to open drawers! Fun, fun!

We hope that everyone else had a great Labor Day too!
