Naptime in the Big Bed

August 31, 2009

Since finding out I was pregnant, I have been trying to take a nap during one of Sarah Ann’s naps. There have been many days when we have cuddled up in our bed together and taken some great naps! Last week I woke up before Sarah Ann did, so I got some cute pictures of her all sprawled out in the big bed…I think she was pretty comfortable!

Happy Birthday and Congratulations!!!

August 29, 2009

Today we celebrated Jeffrey’s 27th birthday! We had a relaxing day at home, just playing and hanging out and tonight we celebrated with yummy birthday cake at our Sunday School end of summer party. Earlier this week Sarah Ann was at Piggly Wiggly with Nanny and saw a Dora balloon. Nanny said that Sarah Ann pointed at it and started saying “ooh, ooh, ooh” (which she does everytime she sees Dora). Nanny translated the “oohs” to “we need to get this for Daddy for his birthday!”…so they did!

Another great surprise came today when we got home from the party and checked the mail…Jeffrey’s certificate came in the mail, and he is now a certified prosthetist/orthotist. We found out a couple of weeks ago that he passed his final exam, but it was great to see it official and on paper! We are so proud of all of his hard work! He has been so diligent and focused, and we are so grateful for how he provides for our family!

Jeffrey, we love you very much! You are the best husband and daddy in the whole world! We are so thankful for you!

You’ve got to keep your eye on her!

When I got into the shower today, Sarah Ann was sitting in the middle of the bathroom floor playing with her toys…when I got out of the shower, like 5 and 1/2 minutes later, this is what I found…

You definitely have to keep your eye on her at all times now! This is a very, very fun stage, but it is also very busy! She can get around very quickly!

Yep! It’s true!

Baby Broadwell #2 is on the way! I am 9 weeks today, and as of now our due date is March 30, 2010! We are very excited, and now that she shock has worn off, we are really looking forward to Sarah Ann and her baby brother or sister being so close in age!

Here is our first picture of Baby Broadwell #2…

We have been telling Sarah Ann that she is going to be a big sister, even though we know she does not understand yet at all—however, we have no doubt that when the baby arrives, she is going to be the best big sister ever (just like her Mommy)!

Go T-Wolves!

August 23, 2009

Friday night we had Sports-A-Rama at the high school! Sarah Ann got to stay up way past her bed time and hang out with Daddy and Mr. Jason at the game, and she absolutely loved it! She had a late nap and we packed some snacks, and she was good to go for the whole evening! Jeffrey said that everytime the band would finish playing, she would clap! She danced, watched the game, and was so enthralled by everything going on! I took her down to see the cheerleaders a couple of times, and she loved watching them! We are looking forward to her going to more of the games, and especially the competitions in a couple months! It was a very busy evening, so I didn’t get a chance to take any pictures, but Mr. Chris did get a cute one of Sarah Ann and I when we went down to see the girls! She looked absolutely adorable in her little cheerleading uniform! It was a great start to a wonderful football season! Go T-Wolves!

Kiss for Daddy!

August 21, 2009

Sarah Ann has recently learned how to blow kisses! Today while she was playing in her pool, I wanted to send Jeffrey a picture, so she blew him a kiss! It made him a very happy Daddy!

Look who decided to crawl :)

August 19, 2009

Sarah Ann finally decided she wanted to crawl…she is doing a great job and is getting more and more confident! She does a really cute thing with her right leg when she is crawling, instead of using her knee, she puts her foot down on the ground! You can see it in the video…enjoy!

Clean Teeth

August 16, 2009

Now that Sarah Ann has her two bottom teeth and her top right one is coming in slowly but surely, we have started brushing Sarah Ann’s teeth and gums. Here a few pictures of her first experience…

Girly Girl

August 14, 2009

There are a few things that Sarah Ann does that are not girly–she loves to get messy in the sand and loves to get food all over her. She is also in a stage right now where she likes to “hit” and “grab” everything with a lot of force (it’s still cute though!). However, for the definite most part, Sarah Ann is a girly girl! She loves to look at herself in the mirror, she always finds the pink things in her closet, she loves playing with her purse, and she also has a new love for baby dolls. Another girly thing that Sarah Ann loves to do is play with her hairbows. She could spend forever pulling them out all and looking at all the ribbons. This morning while I was trying to get one out to match her dress, she managed to get all of her hairbows out of the baskets and all over the floor! We love our little girly girl!
