Family Fun

July 30, 2009

Sarah Ann and I are in Atlanta right now visiting with family and friends. We met Nanny half-way on Monday evening for her to bring Sarah Ann to Atlanta while I went to the South Carolina Coaches Conference. Wednesday night I drove down to Atlanta to spend the rest of the week. We are having fun playing with friends, shopping, and hanging out with our family!

Sarah Ann had a lot of fun before I got here with Nanny, Pops and Uncle Jeremy. She loves all the attention and has so much fun with all of her different toys here!

Tuesday night after dinner with the Edfeldt’s, Sarah Ann went to feed the ducks…

Sarah Ann really wants to feed herself, but you can see that it is quite messy…

Sarah Ann made Nanny lots of yummy food in her McDonald’s kitchen…

We are having lots of fun in Atlanta, but we can’t wait to get back home and see Daddy. We have been sending him pictures and videos, but we miss him very much! We can’t wait to get back and get his kisses!

Mmmm….bread!

July 29, 2009

Sarah Ann eats anything you give her. She has recently started eating bread and she really likes it. At Five Guys the other day she got a hold of the entire bun! She must get it from her Mommy because I really like bread too!

the zoo times two!

July 27, 2009

Friday we went to the zoo with Mrs. Raluca and Alina! We met two of the teachers I use to teach with, Tennille and Claudia, there too! It was a great morning, and we had a lot of fun looking at the animals! Sarah Ann was in a very serious mood at first, but once we got started walking around and she had a little snack she was good to go! She is very intrigued by all of the animals. The monkeys were being very loud, and we also got to get very close to the gorilla! We are very glad the glass was separating us though!

Nanny and Pops were in town this weekend for Sarah Ann’s baby dedication at church, so Sunday afternoon we decided to take another quick trip to the zoo before they had to leave. It was Pops’ first visit to Riverbanks. It was hot and sunny, but Sarah Ann had a great time visiting with the animals. Whenever we would pull up to an exhibit she would pull herself up in her stroller so that she could get a good look. Then when it was time to walk to the next area, she would sit back and relax in her stroller until we got there. We got to see the penguins swimming, the elephants drinking water, the monkeys swinging, and the lions relaxing in the shade. However, Sarah Ann’s favorite part is still the aquarium! Nanny and Pops also bought Sarah Ann a new Riverbanks Zoo hat to wear–it is so cute!

Playing in the Sprinklers

July 25, 2009

Sarah Ann loves water—the bathtub, sink, pool, ocean—if she sees water she wants to get into it! Tonight when we got home from dinner, Sarah Ann noticed that the sprinklers were on and she kept wiggling around and wanted to get down so that we would walk her to them. Jeffrey decided to take her for a quick run through the sprinklers—she had so much fun! She was kicking her legs and smiling! I have a feeling we are going to be doing this a lot more often now…

It’s fun being friends with twins!

July 23, 2009

At a second’s notice, we use to be out and about with our friends Devin and Kathy. That has definitely changed in the last few months. Now that there are 3 babies between us it takes a lot more planning and preparing, but we are starting to all get back into the swing of things. Sarah Ann gets very excited when she sees Anna Claire and Charlie, and we are trying to teach her to be gentle. She is ready to play! Here are some pictures of our recent adventures with the twins!

We all went to visit Mrs. Carolyn and Nathan! It was fun having all 3 babies in the back seat. They all fell asleep on the way home!

We feel so blessed to have such wonderful friends and such wonderful babies for Sarah Ann to grow up with! Pretty soon they will all be running all over the place!

Difference

July 21, 2009

My mom and I are a lot alike…..and Jeffrey is pretty sure that Sarah Ann is going to be just like us too! However, there is one difference that we have already found…..Sarah Ann likes to get dirty, especially in the sand at the beach! Now, Nanny and I love the beach, but we would much rather sit in our chairs and get as little sand on us as possible. I am getting use to Sarah Ann getting all dirty though, and I’m okay with it because she does look incredibly cute rolling around in the sand!

Look What I Can Do!

July 20, 2009

Sarah Ann is usually very happy but a little groggy when she wakes up from her naps. We were able to catch her clapping on video yesterday after we got her up…she was an excited little girl!

Cousins

July 18, 2009

Sarah Ann was able to spend some time with her third cousins, Will and Cohen, on Friday. She was in Atlanta with Nanny, Pops, and Uncle Jeremy, so Will and Cohen came over to play. Will is 4 and Cohen is 5 weeks older than Sarah Ann. They had lots of fun playing together!

Will did get his hair pulled a few times by Sarah Ann, but he didn’t mind and did a great job playing with the babies. They had toys all over the living room! Will left earlier in the afternoon, but Cohen stayed through the evening, and Nanny said that everytime one baby had a toy the other baby wanted it! Sarah Ann and Cohen also went swimming the baby pool. Aren’t they precious?

I can’t wait to see how they all interact when they get older! It is going to be so much fun!

Sarah Ann’s Sun Hat :)

July 17, 2009

Sarah Ann has never minded wearing hairbows, but we were not to sure how she would like wearing her sun hat while we were at the beach. We always spray her head down with sunscreen, but we wanted to help keep the bright sun out of her eyes too. When we first put it on, she tried to grab it, but once she realized it wasn’t coming off, she never messed with it again. She looked absolutely adorable! Here are  a few of  our favorite picture of Sarah Ann in her sun hat…
