Today was my first day on the job, staying at home with my favorite girl. It was so wonderful to be with her all day long. Today I…
- woke up to a talking and smiling baby
- played with Dora toys
- watched Noggin
- spent time with friends and played with Anna Claire and Charlie
- changed 4 poopy diapers (1 was Charlie’s)
- took 2 walks around the neighborhood
- fed Sarah Ann applesauce, carrots, sweet potatoes and bananas
- ran errands around Lexington
- did 3 loads of laundry
- cooked dinner (who would have thought?)
- cleaned the kitchen
- got spit up all over me several times
- gave Sarah Ann a bath
- watched Sarah Ann play the guitar with Jeffrey
- put the sweetest girl ever to bed in her crib

The best part about doing all these things today is that I get to do them all over again tomorrow and the next and the next! I don’t think it has really hit me yet that I am not going back to school to teach next year. Right now it is just summer break; however, I am so excited about being able to stay at home and experience each new day with my sweet girl! I don’t want to miss all that she is going to do and accomplish in these next few months!

Thank you, Jeffrey, for letting me stay at home. I know it is going to mean sacrifice and change, but I am so grateful that you work so hard to take care of us and that you are so willing for us to work it out, so that I can be home with Sarah Ann. You are the most amazing husband and Daddy! We love you very much!
