Weekend Fun at the Park

April 29, 2009

This past weekend, Sarah Ann had lots of fun at Virginia Hylton Park!

Saturday morning, Mommy and Daddy took Sarah Ann to Kid’s Day. Sarah Ann really enjoys watching everything around her, so she just had a great time being pushed in her stroller and being able to see all of the excitement around her. She also got her first balloon!

Sunday afternoon, Mommy and Kennedy (one of my cheerleaders) took Sarah Ann back to the park to play some more, since it was such a beautiful day outside! Sarah Ann loved her first time swinging! She would squeal and laugh…and kick her legs because she was so excited! Thank you Kennedy for playing with us at the park!

We can’t wait to go back to the park again! Summer is almost here!

Sleepy Baby

April 27, 2009

We all know that Sarah Ann is not the greatest sleeper–but she definitely has some very sweet sleepy moments…

She does not usually take an evening nap, because she is too excited when we are all home together in the evenings, so after she has her rice cereal and nurses, she is completely out…this is what usually happens when she is done eating…

And definitely something I will never forget…After Sarah Ann had her early morning feeding on Friday morning, I decided I would just keep her in the bed with me and cuddle with her until I had to get up for work, so after she got done eating, I just layed her right beside me. She must have been happy that I kept her in the bed with me, because when I layed her down, she looked up at me and smiled…then put her hand up, rubbed my cheek, and fell asleep…Soooo sweet!

I love my sweet sleepy girl!!

Quality Time with Nanny…

April 24, 2009

We are soooo very blessed to have Nanny (my Momma) staying with us during the week to take care of Sarah Ann while I am finishing the school year. There is definitely no way that we could make it without her…she knows how to do it all! We are so grateful for all of her help and for the time that her and Sarah Ann get to spend together during the week!

Here are a few pictures of some things that Nanny and Sarah Ann have been up to lately…

Last week I took Friday off to spend some time with Sarah Ann before cheerleading tryouts…so the girls decided to take a trip to the zoo! We had a lot of fun, and the weather was absolutely beautiful!

This Tuesday, Nanny and Sarah Ann went to LAP SIT at the library. Sarah Ann had fun listening to stories and songs–Nanny said that she was mesmerized by everything going on!

Nanny has also been giving Sarah Ann some of her baths, because she can’t seem to keep everything in her diaper now that she likes to sit up all of the time! Sarah Ann loves playing in the sink! Isn’t she adorable?

Lastly, here is a picture of Sarah Ann watching her Baby Einstein video on Nanny’s laptop today! Who thinks that pink computer will be hers one day?

Thank you, Momma, for everything that you do for us during the week! We are so grateful–we couldn’t do it without you! We love you! We can’t wait until you and Pops move to the great state of SC to be with us all the time!

Play Time :)

April 21, 2009

Over Easter weekend, Sarah Ann and I went to visit our friends Brandi and Lynsie. It is so fun to see Sarah Ann becoming aware of and interacting with her little friends now! It is also great for us mommies to be able to talk–Brandi and I have lots of the same thoughts and views, so it is great to share stories and have “mommy talk.”

Here are a few pictures of Sarah Ann and Lynsie playing with some of Lynsie’s toys–Sarah Ann really liked Lynsie’s drums, and they were so cute together trying to both play with the car toy!

Seeing Sarah Ann having fun playing with friends makes me very excited about spending lots of time with these two cuties very soon! Please keep Anna Claire and Charlie in your prayers as they get ready to come home! We can’t wait to play with you this summer!

First Time With A Sippy Cup!

April 20, 2009

Last weekend while we were in Atlanta for Easter, we gave Sarah Ann a sippy cup for the first time! She has become very interested in cups, drink bottles, well, really anything that we are drinking…or eating! Sarah Ann still isn’t very sure about actually drinking the water, but she definitely puts it straight to her mouth! I think she will get the hang of it soon…maybe in time to starting drinking some juice in a month or two!

A Very Happy Easter

April 15, 2009

We had a wonderful Easter celebrating with Sarah Ann! We enjoyed seeing Sarah Ann’s excitement all dressed up for church and being with family and opening her gifts, but we so look forward to the day when her excitement over Easter is all about celebrating Jesus and the awesome gift of salvation He has for her!

All Dressed Up!!

Before spring break, Nanny took Sarah Ann to visith with the Easter Bunny at the mall. She looked super adorable in her Gap outfit (Thank you, Karen!) but she was in one of her “serious moods” wondering why a big furry bunny was holding her for the picture–at least she wasn’t crying though! Thank you Nanny for taking Sarah Ann!

We hope that everyone had a very special Easter!

5The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. 6He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. 7Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.”

Spring Break, Part 2

April 12, 2009

The second half of spring break has been lots of fun too! The week went by way too fast, but I have LOVED being at home with Sarah Ann! I am counting down the weeks until school gets out—only 8 more to go and I will be staying home for good! Yay!

Here are some pictures of what Sarah Ann has been up to the past few days…

Thursday, Sarah Ann and I went to lunch with some of the 7th grade teachers from school. We ate lunch at the Caddyshack, and it was so wonderful to spend some time outside!

After lunch we went and walked the Lake Murray Dam, because it was such a beautiful day. Sarah Ann was a little fussy at first because of the sun, so I pulled the stroller for part of the way! Once the sun was out of the way, she took a nap and enjoyed the rest of the walk…

Friday, Sarah Ann went to visit Grandpa and Daddy at the office for a little bit (I forgot to tell Daddy to take some pictures), so that Mommy could go see Anna Claire and Charlie with Elizabeth! After visiting the twins, we enjoyed lunch at Ruby Tuesday’s with Kathy and Elizabeth! I love those girls! Sarah Ann would not look at the camera…she was very interested in the food on the table!

After lunch on Friday, we headed down to Atlanta to celebrate Easter with Nanny, Pops, and Uncle Jeremy! Sarah Ann has been having lots of fun and getting spoiled! We will lots more pictures of our Easter fun soon!

Spring Break, Part 1

April 8, 2009

Sarah Ann and I have been having a really fun spring break spending time with friends! Our days have been busy and exciting! Here are a few pictures from my IPhone that I have taken this week while we have been out and about…

Monday we went with Blythe and Bryce to the zoo. Sarah Ann loves strolling around and taking in all the sights. It was a beautiful day to be outside. Here she is just relaxing in her stroller… I am not sure what this new face is she is making, but she has been doing it non-stop lately. I also love that she is a “Hoodie Girl” just like her Mommy!

Tuesday we went to lunch with Emily and then she came over to our house to play. Sarah Ann slept through lunch, but had a great time playing with Emily while Mommy did some spring cleaning around the house. Thank you for coming to play with us, Emily! (Notice that Sarah Ann is still making her new silly face!)

spring-break-3

Wednesday we went to lunch with Samantha! It was great to see her and catch up! Sarah Ann is not to happy in the picture, because she really wants the food on the table and she can’t have it!

spring-break-4

After lunch on Wednesday, we went on a walk with Rachel and Caleb. After walking, we played inside for a little bit. Sarah Ann really liked Caleb’s penguin! We can’t wait to play again soon!

We are looking forward to everything else we have planned over the break! We just wish Daddy had spring break too!

New Pictures of Miss Priss

April 8, 2009

Sunday we took Sarah Ann to get her pictures made at the Picture People! They do a really great job, and we always want to buy all of the pictures! There was a picture of Sarah Ann in her diaper that they printed and framed in black and white—I knew we weren’t leaving without that picture because Jeffrey loved it! Sarah Ann did a great job, and we got some great pictures. Here are a few of the proofs of our little Miss Priss!
