A few bathtime pictures! January 29, 2009

Sarah Ann is becoming more fond of bathtime. Recently we put her in the bath with me once the water had cooled down a little bit….she really liked it! She was definitely trying to figure out what was going on, so she had a very serious face at first, then she relaxed and smiled! 

Sarah Ann is not happy when she gets out of the bath and is waiting to get her pajamas put on. In this picture, I think she is definiting saying, “Daddy, why are you taking pictures of me? I want to be dressed and warm!”

Sarah Ann and Alina January 27, 2009

Last Thursday, Sarah Ann and I went to visit our friends Raluca and Alina. Sarah Ann is two months older than Alina. We had a great time hanging out, even though the girls were totally on opposite schedules! We can’t wait to get together again!

First Playdate! January 25, 2009

Last Saturday, Sarah Ann had her first playdate while we were in Atlanta. Sarah Ann had a lot of fun checking out Lynsie’s toys and laying under Lynsie’s jungle playmat with her and looking at the colored lights. But, I think it might have been even more fun for Brandi and I to be able to catch up and talk about life now that we are mommies!

Baby, it’s cold outside! January 17, 2009

One of Nanny’s friends made Sarah Ann this adorable little hat, and it is definitely cold enough for her to wear it now! It does not seem to bother her at all, and we definitely think she looks warm and cute!

Mommy and Sarah Ann are in Atlanta right now. We miss Daddy very much! Today Sarah Ann had her first play date with her friend Lynsie, so I will post those pictures as soon as I can get them from Brandi! It was a fun day!

2 Months Old January 9, 2009

Last Friday Sarah Ann turned two months old! We can’t believe how quickly she is growing up! Recently she has discovered her hands and loves to put them in her mouth. She is always smiling and cooing, especially when she gets done eating or is getting her diaper changed. She loves to play on her mat and loves all her toys! She also loves to take naps in her swing and sling!

We went to the doctor on Wednesday for Sarah Ann’s two month well visit. Dr. Greenhouse said she is in perfect health! Here are her stats: 10 pounds, 15 ounces (59%) and 23 1/2 inches (95%). She had to get 3 shots, but she only cried for a few minutes and then fell asleep!

Sarah Ann’s First Christmas January 5, 2009

Sarah Ann had a great first Christmas, even if she didn’t really know what was going on! We had lots of fun dressing her up, opening her presents, and being spoiled by our families! Sarah Ann got some wonderful presents, including a dinosaur ball pit and a Belle baby doll. She also got lots of really cute clothes! Mommy and Daddy got her a swing, which she is really starting to like!

What a wonderful 2008! January 1, 2009

    O come, let us sing for joy to the LORD,

Just about this time last year, Jeffrey and I decided that we were ready to add another member to our family. Little did we know that in just 2 months we would be pregnant! Most of 2008 was filled with 9 great months of being pregnant and preparing for Sarah Ann’s arrival. The best day of 2008 was definitely November 2 when Sarah Ann finally arrived! Tomorrow Sarah Ann will be 2 months old, and these last 2 months have been absolutely life changing. Jeffrey and I have completely fallen head over heels for our little girl, and I can’t imagine now what life would be like without her! Sarah Ann is growing and changing and developing everyday…We can’t wait to see what 2009 has in store! Just think of all that Sarah Ann will be doing by the end of 2009!

**I know I have not updated about Christmas yet, but we are heading back to South Carolina this evening, and I plan to work on all of that this weekend!
