Hello from Georgia!

December 29, 2008

We have been having a great time in Georgia for Christmas! Sarah Ann has been held and loved and cuddled, and she received lots of fun gifts for Christmas! Jeffrey went back to South Carolina last night and is coming back on Wednesday for New Years. Sarah Ann and I are spending time with family and friends here for the next couple of days. We will be back to South Carolina on Thursday night, so I will have lots of pictures to post from Sarah Ann’s first Christmas…she is definitely spoiled!

Here a couple of pictures of her in one of the new outfits she got for Christmas…I love my little cutie!

We hope that everyone has very happy New Year! Mommy and Daddy are going to go out on a date, while Nanny and Pops keep Sarah Ann…we definitely didn’t have to pull their arm to keep her!

First Trip to Atlanta

December 23, 2008

Two weekends ago we took Sarah Ann on her first trip to Atlanta! It’s amazing how much more involved packing is when you are travelling with a five week old. Sarah Ann did wonderful in the car. She slept pretty much the whole way!

When we got to Atlanta, we celebrated my brother’s college graduation at his party. We are very proud of him and were very happy to be able to celebrate with him and our family and friends. However, I think that Sarah Ann definitely stole the show! Everyone was so excited to meet her and she did a great job while being passed around!

Sunday we had a family reunion to attend with my mom’s extended family, so Sarah Ann met a lot more people! She had a Santa outfit to wear, and she looked absolutely adorable! Below are some pictures we took after the reunion…

Tonight we are celebrating Christmas with Grandpa (Jeffrey’s dad) and tomorrow we will be heading to Atlanta again to celebrate with my family! Hopefully Sarah Ann will sleep in the car again! We hope that everyone has a very Merry Christmas!!!

Sarah Ann has been very busy over the past week, and it is getting even busier with Christmas comimg up! Last Thursday we went to Charleston for the day to see Aunt Rachel. It was the first time Sarah Ann got to meet her! Rachel is currently on the national tour of Annie. She had the day off before the show, so we spent the afternoon downtown. We took Sarah Ann to the market, but she slept through the whole thing! We can’t wait to see you again soon Aunt Rachel! We love you!

Sarah Ann likes to fight sleep, something she definitely did not get from her Mommy and Daddy…so we are learning to sleep whenever we can! We love cuddling with our sweet girl!

One Month Old

December 2, 2008

Today Sarah Ann is one month old! We can’t believe how quickly time is passing by…maybe it’s because we are not getting as much sleep as we use to! We are slowing but surely getting settled and adjusted, and we are enjoying every minute with Sarah Ann! She is always making us laugh and smile! We can’t believe how much she is growing and changing everyday…it is such an incredible experience!

She was finally able to take her first bath over the weekend…her belly button is finally all healed up! I don’t think it was her favorite experience, but she did great!

After her bath, we got her dressed in a little outfit that Nanny had gotten her…Jeffrey was so excited for Sarah Ann to try on her Pumas, and I liked the hair bow! The shirt says “New in town…”!

Jeffrey and I would like to say thank you to everyone who has been so helpful during this last month…whether you called, brought food, held Sarah Ann, or prayed for us…we are so grateful!
