Last weekend Jeffrey and I did not see each other at all…that was the sad part! The great part was that we both did some very exciting things!
Friday afternoon I drove straight to Atlanta from school to spend the weekend. Saturday morning I got to spend time and have breakfast with one of my very best friends, Diana. She is currently attending school in LA, so I’m so glad that we were able to get together while she was back in the south…it was great to catch up! After breakfast, we headed home and helped set up for our very first baby shower! It was wonderful to see family and friends from home….and it was sooo exciting to receive so many great gifts for Sarah Ann! We are so grateful for everything! Here are some pictures from the shower…
Mommy and Nanny–all ready for Sarah Ann’s shower
Saturday afternoon, Jeffrey participated in the Mud Run at Fort Jackson with three of his friends: Mike, David, and Chris from our Sunday School Class. They did a great job and finished the 4.2 mile course in an hour and nine minutes! Thank you Elizabeth for taking pictures for me since I couldn’t be there. Here are some pictures of the team and a very muddy Jeffrey…
Sunday I had a shower at the church I grew up at given to me by some wonderful ladies and friends! It was great to see everyone from my home church, and we were so blessed with some great gifts for Sarah Ann! She is going to be so spoiled! Below are a couple pictures from the shower at church…
Me, Momma, and the wonderful hostesses
Jeffrey and I were very happy to see each other on Sunday night when I got back from Atlanta…and I think Jeffrey was in shock when he saw all of the wonderful things we received over the weekend! Thank you again to everyone who has blessed us so much, not just with gifts, but especially with your prayers and support!
We now have a lot of work to do in the nursery to finish up and get organized….hopefully we will have some more pictures of Sarah Ann’s room all ready in just a couple weeks!
Only 5 and 1/2 weeks to go! Wow!
