30 weeks down…10 more to go! August 27, 2008

Filed under: Baby, Daddy, Mommy — cortneyhope @ 1:05 pm

We cannot believe that we have reached the 30 weeks mark. It still seems like yesterday that we found out we were pregnant!

These next few weeks feel like they are going to fly by, as Jeffrey and I get back into our usual routine, since I am back at school and he is hard at work at the office. We are looking forward to seeing friends and family over the next two months at our showers and trying to squeeze in a few last trips out of town!

I recently read this quote on a friend’s blog…

“Making the decision to have a child-it’s momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body.”

Wow! We are sooooo looking forward to Sarah Ann’s arrival, and please pray along with Jeffrey and I that God would prepare our hearts to be the parents that He has called us to be. We feel so blessed that God has given us this opportunity to love and raise Sarah Ann and show her how to love Christ above all else and to live her life glorifying Him!

Future Gymnast, Olympics 2024 August 21, 2008

Filed under: Baby — cortneyhope @ 12:01 am

I don’t really think Jeffrey and I have changed the channel much since the Olympics started, and our DVR has been constantly pretty full from recording everything! We have stayed up pretty late a few nights, but we just can’t stay up as late as we use to!

Sarah Ann must also be loving the Olympics because she is becoming quite the little gymnast inside my tummy! Jeffrey and I love feeling her move around and kick!

We went to the doctor for our 28 week visit on Monday, and everything is going great! Sarah Ann now weighs about 2 and 1/2 pounds! She is growing so much, and we now only have 77 days to go! Time is going by so fast! We can’t wait for her to get here!

We’ll keep everyone updated on her gymnastics status, but in the meantime, have fun watching the Olympics! Go USA! :)

Beautiful Baby Broadwell August 11, 2008

Filed under: Baby — cortneyhope @ 1:01 pm

Jeffrey and I went Friday afternoon for our 3D ultrasound, and it was soooo amazing! Sarah Ann is already the most beautiful baby ever! She did really good at first having her picture taken….but then she started acting like her Mommy and Daddy, so it got a little harder to take pictures. I think she wanted to go to sleep, and she had her hands in front of her face, just like I like to do when I’m sleeping….then she put her legs up over her head and no matter how much we tried to get her to move, she was being a little stubborn like her Daddy.

Below are some of the pictures…enjoy!

I passed! August 6, 2008

Filed under: Mommy — cortneyhope @ 9:00 pm

This picture represents how I spent my Monday morning! I drank all 10 oz. of this super sugary orange drink–it definitely makes me not want to have a Sunkist for a long time!

We arrived at the office around 7:45 and they took my blood, and then I drank the fun stuff! Jeffrey kept me company for most of the first hour until he had to head to work. My good friend Raluca called and we chatted for a bit during the second hour, so that definitely helped the time pass by too. Thanks to my wonderful husband who gave me an IPhone for Christmas, I was able to check my email and facebook too! The third hour I read most of “These Strange Ashes” by Elisabeth Elliot. It is about her first year as a missionary in Ecuador! After they took my blood for the fourth time, I was very happy to get out of there and go get something yummy to eat!

…And I am even more happy to report that all of the results came back normal! That is such an answer to prayer! Thank you to everyone who was praying for the test results!

We are going Friday to have our 3D Ultrasound, so we will have some more pictures of Sarah Ann to post very soon! 27 weeks down….13 more to go!

Nanny and Mommy’s Beach Trip August 4, 2008

Filed under: Mommy — cortneyhope @ 7:41 pm

Dear Nanny and Mommy,

I hope that you had a wonderful time at the beach last week! It seemed like you were having fun laying out by the pool, walking on the beach, doing lots of shopping (for me I hope) and eating out! Next year will probably be much different, since I will be joining you for the beach trip, but I know that you can’t wait! I will definitely bring lots of excitement!

I will miss Daddy though, because I am already a Daddy’s girl! I like to hear him talk to me when he gets home from work and before we go to bed!

Love,

Sarah Ann
