Wonderful Moments with Sarah Ann

25 Weeks July 28, 2008

Here is an updated picture of me and Sarah Ann at 25 weeks! She is growing so much and she has become very, very active in the last couple of weeks!

We went to the doctor last Wednesday for a routine visit, and when we met with the doctor, he said that everything looks perfect! Sarah Ann’s heartbeat was 157 bpm and my blood pressure and weight were great too!

So, Jeffrey and I were very happy that everything has been going soooo great…but then, I had my glucose screening test. And I failed by 4 points! For real? Yep! So, I go back on August 4 to complete the 3 hour test, and the doctor feels like everything will be totally ok! I’m just not looking forward to not being able to eat or sitting at the doctors office for 3 hours…I need to find a good book to read!

We’ll keep you updated…

We hope that everyone has a wonderful week!

Thursday Thirteen July 24, 2008

A couple of other blogs that I read often do a Thursday Thirteen, where the writer shares 13 of something on Thursday! I have seen lot of great ideas, so I thought I would try it today! Jeffrey and I went and ordered Sarah Ann’s furniture last night at Babies ‘R Us and finished registering there. We have a few more things to register for at Target, and then we are done! However, Sarah Ann’s room and closet already has all sorts of exciting things in it…So, today I am going to share with you 13 great things that Sarah Ann has been given! We are so grateful for all of the prayers, support and gifts from our friends and family!

1. Pillows that go with her bedding. We wanted to make sure we painted the walls the right color pink!

2. Bouncy Car–Thank you Nanny and Pops! My mom found a great deal on a convertible for Sarah Ann to bounce around in!

3. Baby Einstein CD’s–Thank you Meme! Jeffrey’s mom sent these to us, and if Sarah Ann is anything like Jeffrey she will LOVE to listen to music!

4. Auburn scarf and knit cap–Thank you Raluca and Justin! Baby Liles is going to have a set just like it for Carolina! This will be very, very important when Sarah Ann arrives during football season! WAR EAGLE!

5. Booties–one of my Nanny’s closest friends (Aunt Gerry) knit these for Sarah Ann!

6. Baby Book (which I need to begin working on)

7. Books from Nanny and Meme! We love reading to Sarah Ann!

8. Lots of blankets–Thanks to all of my wonderful students from last year!

9. First Baby Doll–she has little pigtails and is wearing a cute pink outfit! I am sure Sarah Ann will love it!

10. Rubber Duckie for bathtime–it changes color if the water is too warm!

11. A Northwestern T-Shirt–Jeffrey travelled to Chicago in June to take a prosthetics test, and he brought Sarah Ann back a T-shirt! She can be a Wildcat fan too!

12. Hooded Towels and Washcloths, and I am sure that we will need lots of these! (Most of them are pink!)

13. Super, super cute clothes! I am going to have lots of fun getting Sarah Ann dressed! (Most of this is pink too!)

I know there is more, and we are so very grateful, and I guess we could say that Sarah Ann is already a little spoiled! :)

Lots of updates… July 14, 2008

We have lots of updates today! July is flying by, and we have been super busy!

Jeffrey and I went to Powder Springs to visit my family for the long Fourth of July weekend! It was great to relax, hang out by the pool, and eat lots of food! We went to the Fourth of July celebration in downtown Powder Springs, and we had funnel cakes! It made Mommy and Sarah Ann very happy!

Sunday we went through Greenville on our way back to Lexington to meet Lily Rachelle Boyd! She is beautiful, and everyone is doing great! Lily and Sarah Ann will be friends soon!

On July 8, Jeffrey and I celebrated our second anniversary! We had dinner at California Dreaming and put our new bookshelves together for our bonus room! (Thank you Devin and Kathy for helping us rearrange our house!) Jeffrey is an amazing husband, and he is going to be a wonderful daddy!

We also entered our sixth month of pregnancy…yay! Jeffrey can’t believe how quickly time is flying by! I am feeling great, and we love to feel Sarah Ann move! She is a bundle of energy already! Here is a picture of me at 23 weeks…

Over the weekend, Sarah Ann took her first trip to cheerleading camp! They were very busy days, and any time I had a chance to be still for a second, she went crazy moving around! My cheerleaders did awesome, and we received first place in the middle school division!  All of the girls love talking to Sarah Ann, and they can’t wait for her to be a cheerleader one day!

There will be more updates soon, because Jeffrey worked very hard while I was out of town and moved some more furniture around, so Sarah Ann’s room is now ready to be painted! More pink…here we come…

I hope that everyone has a wonderful week! Summer is flying by!
