Jeffrey and I have begun the process of registering at Babies ‘R Us and Target. We are having a lot of fun picking out all of the stuff that we and Sarah Ann will need. However, I think while were were at Target I was going a little pink crazy. At one point, Jeffrey asked me “Is everything going to be pink?” So, I tried to do better and I found some things that included purple and green! We still have a long way to go, but we had a lot of fun and we are ready to go back!
Introducing Sarah Ann Broadwell June 19, 2008
Cortney had her 20 week appointment today. After the nurse took some blood, weight, etc. Cortney sat patiently waiting for the ultrasound while I dug through the magazine basket. We entered the ultrasound room and Cortney took her position on the exam table and I was told to have a seat in the “daddy chair.” The lights when out and there she was. I gave cortney’s hand a squeeze. The nurse asked “do you want to know what the sex is?” Cortney and I both responded with a resounding yes. “It’s a girl,” said the nurse. I looked at Cortney to see the biggest and brightest smile. It’s a girl. Cortney and I are extremly excited about our little Sarah Ann. Cortney and the baby are doing great. Cortney has been feeling well and Sarah is about 13 oz., which is good for 20 weeks. The Doctor measured Cortney’s tummy and said that everything is looking good. We go back in about 4 weeks and scheduled a 4D scan. The pictures above are 6 of about 15 the the nurse gave us today.
A little rest and relaxation… June 17, 2008
Jeffrey and I went to Destin, Florida last week with my Momma, Daddy, and brother. We had a great time being out by the pool and playing in the ocean. We also ate way too much food, and the Broadwell’s dominated in putt-putt! It was a wonderful way to kick off the summer! Thank you Momma and Daddy for still taking us on vacation with you!

Jeffrey and I would like to say “Happy Father’s Day” to our dads! We hope that you have a wonderful day and we love you very much! Jeffrey can’t wait to celebrate with you all next year!
We go to the doctor on Wednesday…hopefully Baby Broadwell will cooperate so we can find out if it’s a he or she…but if Baby Broadwell is anything like Jeffrey and I, it will be very, very stubborn! So, we’ll see….
June 18th June 1, 2008
Last Tuesday, Jeffrey and I went to the doctor for our 16 week visit. It was actually almost a week later, but only a teacher would have to plan going to the doctor around standardized testing! Everything went great at the appointmnet. We were able to hear Baby Broadwell’s heart beating about 150 beats a minute, and it is absolutely amazing! The doctor said that everything looks great so far!
We scheduled our next appointment for June 18 (Uncle Jeremy’s birthday), and we will get to see Baby Broadwell for the first time and hopefully find out if “it” is a boy or girl! We are very excited! So, as soon as that day comes, the secret about the names will be out!
